What If We Were a World of Doers?

What exactly is a doer? Feeling much like a segment on Sesame Street, this ad from Honda explains, “Well, doers do things. Things to move us forward, to make stuff better.” The ad (below) goes on to imagine a world where people and companies are doers who take an active role in making environmentally conscious decisions.

  • Be a doer and stop buying cars! That’s an environmentally conscious decision. This is the contradictory purpose of many of these absurdly comical “green” campaigns by the oil and car industries. Instead of promoting these campaigns, just because they deliver some cool infographics, we should be pointing a finger and ridiculizing these type of initiatives.

  • Ok, the clouds remind me of this comic: http://www.kawaiinot.com/?p=1

But I did like the commercial, none the less.

  • We’d all become increasingly tired of the non-doers and move to a secret location ala Atlas Shrugged.

  • Is that Garrison Keillor narrating? That man has such a great voice.
