1970 – Let it Be
The order at the end really isn’t quite right. While Let It Be was the last album released, it was not the last album the group recorded. That honor goes to Abbey Road. For numerous reasons, Let It Be was delayed and did not get released until after Abbey Road. I will leave the discussion of this fact’s impact on the hair chronology to others.
Is the increase in head size over time a significant part of their evolution?

The heads appear to be getting bigger every year. This distorts the comparison of hair styles. This is not legitimate.

Some minor issues:
1. John’s should be red and Ringo’s should have a grey streak on the right side.
2. Don’t underestimate the importance of eyebrows, particularly on George and John. They had unibrows but began manscaping in 1963, only for John to grow his back in 1969. (Of course Paul was a chronic manscaper pre-1969 and Ringo’s left eyebrow has a silver streak in it.)
3. John in 1966, 1969 and 1970 are slightly off. He cut all his hair off after the 1966 tour to make the film “How I Won The War.” In 1969 (after the disasterous “Get Back/Let It Be” project) he grew his hair out to look like Jesus (see: Abbey Road cover, August 1969.) Finally, in December of 1969 he and Yoko got brainwashed and scalped by a cult in Denmark (see 1970′s “Instant Karma” vids. Later in 1970 they auctioned off their shorn locks to benefit the Black Panthers.)
4. The Bee Gees didn’t get this hairy until the 1970’s.
Overall, though, this is quite entertaining.
