FlowingPrints is Live
Finally, after lots of long nights, the first FlowingPrints poster series is now available.
Big thanks to everyone who helped me along the way and for all of your emails and feedback. I'm really excited about this project, and clearly, many of you are too. Thanks for all the support.
What is FlowingPrints?
FlowingPrints is a collaboration between statistics and design. I worked with two designers, Atley G. Kasky and Robert Di Ieso, Jr., to create a series of three prints that each provide a very different view into the state of education in America. We put data on paper.

I really like these posters. I’m thinking of buying them to have on my office door (I’m a college professor).
Not to nitpick, but I think there might be a typo on the third poster. In the enrollment percentages, there are different age brackets. I think the first one should read “3-4″ and not “3-34″. I could be wrong.
@Dex – Wow, I cannot believe I missed that. thank you for pointing that out. update on the way…
UPDATE: It turns out it’s not a typo. It’s just my idiocy. We have our complete series again.
Hey, sorry to make you panic; my bad, it turns out. I kept looking at the thing and convinced myself thought it was part of a series (I figured the percentage was low because not everyone sends kids to pre-school or jr. k). I considered the idea that it was an average for the whole range but managed to convince myself otherwise because 3&4 were not broken out as in the other subcategories. Anyway, I really appreciate the work here. It’s one of my first stops every day. Sorry again.
no worries, dex. all is good.
It’s not a typo! It’s the total, everyone from 3 to 34, not 3 to 4!
