		<description>[...] Flowing data had posted about this visualiser - so_many_a_second and made a great comment about how visualisations work better when you humanise them. Instead of showing a static statistic, it incorporates animation and graphics to highlight the message. The app allows you to choose the quanitiy of data sold, produced, used etc. per second which then falls down the screen clearly reacting to the times given. Within the screen shot below, it represents the number of computers sold which is 9 units per second.  You can even have a split screen where you can run two categories at the same time. I think this is a really intuitive way of not just representating data but to get users to emotionally connect with the data by comparing two very different quantities.
